Spicy Avocado Pesto Pasta

I found this recipe on @quickfitrecipes and wanted to share it with you guys! It's so delicious and simple to make.

Ingredients:

(I didn't use exact measurements)

- 250g Farfalle pasta (or any kind of pasta you like)
- Two handfuls of Rocket Leaves
- Handful of Coriander
- 1 Avocado
- 3 Tablespoons of fresh Lime Juice
Jalapeño peppers (the more you add the spicier the pesto)
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 Teaspoon salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon pepper
- 1 Clove of Garlic
- 6 cherry tomatoes, halved (I don't like tomatoes but if you want you can add more)

Step 1 - Cook Pasta

I'm sure all of you know how to boil pasta! Just bring a large pot of water to boil over high heat and add the pasta. Add a pinch of salt into the pot. Stir the pasta as it starts to cook and once it's done drain the pasta and reserve 1 cup of of the pasta water. Then toss the pasta with a little olive oil to stop the pasta from sticking. Place in a large serving bowl.

Step 2 - Making the pesto

Add the rocket leaves, coriander, avocado, lime juice, jalapeño peppers, garlic, salt and pepper into a food processor. Puree until smooth.

Add the parmesan cheese and puree again. Taste and add additional salt and pepper as needed. You can add more jalapeños if it's not spicy enough.

Step 3 - Adding the pesto to the pasta

Toss the pesto into the pasta and add the cherry tomatoes on top. I sprinkled some more parmesan cheese over the pasta cos I love it so much!

Let me know if you decide to make this pasta :)

HOW TO: Glitter Wing Liner!

Hey guys! Today I thought I'd show you how to create a glitter wing liner using Certifeye's 'Burgundy' glitter.
Of course you can use any coloured glitter you like but I wanted to use this one! :)

- a little word of warning, this look is a little tricky to achieve but practice makes perfect!

Step 1 - PRIME

Apply an eyeshadow base or a concealer to ensure you have a blank canvas and set it with a pressed or translucent powder or even an eye shadow that is close to your skin tone.
It's important to set the base with a powder so that the base itself doesn't crease on your lid and that any eye shadow you apply on top blends seamlessly.

p.s. there's left over glue in my lashes from when I wore falsies the other night, it looks weird.

Step 2 - LINE

Wing your liner as you would normally do - if you need help with this, apply some tape on the edge of your eye and line it up to the tail of your eyebrow. This will give you a sharp edge and a perfect wing.
I did my wing free hand and used a makeup wipe to clean up underneath, to make the wing straight and sharp.
For this look, a thicker wing will give you more space to work with to apply the glitter!

I also applied some eyeshadow (brown tones in the crease)
- Jaclyn Hill Favourites Palette by Morphe Brushes (sorry I couldn't find a link for this)

Step 3 - GLITTER!

Dip a really thin brush into some sort of glitter mixing medium and wipe of the excess.

Examples of what you can use:

Run the brush through the glitter and tap off the excess, if there are lumps of glitter stuck onto the brush wipe the brush on the back of your hand until smooth.

Step 4 - LINE

Start by lining from the centre of your lid.

Take your time as you line the rest of your wing. I find that outlining it gives a better guideline.

Step 5 - FILL IN

If you want you can leave it like that but I chose to completely cover the black gel liner.

Wing looking fierce, I'm obsessed

Step 6 - MASCARA/FALSIES

Coat your lashes with as much mascara as you like or pop on your favourite false lashes.

I added a brown shadow to my lower lash line and tightlined my upper water line with  Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner 'Black' (£7.99)

LIPS:
The Body Shop Lip Liner 'Burnished Pink' (sorry I couldn't find a link for this) & Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color 'Plum Rose' (£20)

Leave me any questions below and let me know if you decide to recreate this! :)

Welcome to my blog!

Hi guys! So, I've finally created a blog mainly for convenience - I usually do beauty product reviews on my Instagram but the caption always takes up half the feed, so, I figured that this would be a better platform to go into depth about products.

If I have a makeup haul I can easily post pictures/swatches on here instead of taking up your Instagram feed and I'm also planning on doing really quick and easy 'how-to' eye makeup pictorials (again something that would be hard to do on Instagram).

Even though I've named my blog after my Instagram name (@makeupbysach) I will be posting non-related beauty things... if you follow me on Instagram you will know I'm a huge lover of food so be prepared to see food posts on here too!

Please leave me any feedback about my blog (i.e. the layout etc) in the comments below and also leave me any suggestions for blogpost ideas so I can write about things that YOU want to read about :)

This a quick lil selfie of my makeup from the other day.
